My journey as a chef began in 2023 when I created my Instagram account, Aaj Mai Kya Khau. I wanted to share my passion for food with others and help people find new recipes to try in their everyday lives. The inspiration came from my love for cooking and my desire to make delicious, accessible dishes that anyone can recreate at home. Over time, I realized the potential of social media to connect with a larger audience and decided to create content that was not only helpful but also engaging.

Milestones 
“Reaching 6,428 followers is a huge milestone for me, especially since I started just a year ago. The engagement I’ve received from my followers has been amazing, and the positive feedback on my recipes and food recommendations has been very rewarding. Another milestone I’m proud of is collaborating with local brands, which allowed me to share even more exciting culinary experiences with my audience.”

Major Challenges 
“One of the biggest challenges I faced was learning how to balance content creation with the demands of my personal and professional life. It was tough at first, but with time, I developed a routine that allows me to plan content in advance while still dedicating time to my cooking and other commitments. I also had to learn how to handle criticism and stay focused on my vision despite the occasional negativity online.”

It’s not just about the number of followers, but the engagement and the relationships I’ve built with people who genuinely love food. “The turning point was when I started focusing more on my audience’s preferences. I began to engage with my followers more actively—asking them about their favorite recipes, sharing cooking tips, and tailoring content to their needs. That helped me create a stronger connection with my community and fueled the growth of my brand. Consistency in posting and staying authentic also played a big part.”

“The key is always staying curious and open to learning. I constantly look for new trends, creative ways to present content, and feedback from my audience. Innovation comes naturally when you’re passionate about what you’re doing, and I make sure to experiment with new types of content, whether it’s reels, tutorials, or collaborations. Staying true to my love for food while exploring new ideas keeps me motivated.”

Balancing Personal Life with the demands of being a public figure and content creator
“Balancing my personal life with being an influencer is challenging but doable. I make sure to set aside specific times for content creation, which allows me to focus on my personal life without feeling overwhelmed. Planning ahead and being organized is key—I try to batch create content when I have free time, so I don’t feel stressed about it later.”

What does success look like to me now, and has that definition evolved over time?
“Success for me now is more about creating a positive impact through my content. While growing my followers and collaborating with brands are important, I define success by the connections I make with my audience and the joy they get from my recipes. It’s not just about numbers anymore; it’s about leaving a mark and building a community around my passion for food.”

“In the future, I want to expand my brand even further by collaborating with more chefs, food brands, and even creating my own recipe books or cooking courses. I aspire to be a source of inspiration for food lovers everywhere and to leave behind a legacy of making home-cooking more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.”

“My advice would be to stay authentic and true to your passion. The journey might seem difficult at times, but consistency, creativity, and genuine connections with your audience will always pay off. Don’t focus on trends that don’t align with your values, and always create content that reflects your true self.”
